NEVER BEEN TO A CABARET SHOW BEFORE?
Think variety show… with fewer rules.
Cabaret brings together different styles of live entertainment in one show, so you never quite know what will happen next.
At A Midsummer Night’s Scream, you might encounter burlesque, comedy, magic, circus, drag, acrobatics, singing and acts that frankly refuse to fit neatly into any category.
Some performances are glamorous. Some are spectacular. Some are very funny. Some are wonderfully strange.
You don’t need to know anything about cabaret or burlesque to come along. Just take your seat, enjoy the show and expect the unexpected.
And if you’re wondering about the burlesque: it’s theatrical, playful adult entertainment rather than a strip show. Expect costumes, character, comedy, glamour and the occasional strategically discarded item of clothing.
Meet the Performers
Your Host Bambi Bang Bang
Your host for A Midsummer Night’s Scream on Friday 2 October is the fabulous Bambi Bang Bang!
Bambi recently hosted the burlesque show at the Steampunk Asylum Festival in Lincoln and has also performed closer to home at Warwickshire Pride. We are absolutely delighted to be welcoming them to Stratford-upon-Avon for A Midsummer Night’s Scream.
Johnny O
From fan dance to pole dance to line dance and everything in between, international boylesque performer Johnny O will surely tantalise you with his exuberant routines and dramatic costuming. Hailing from Gloucestershire, Johnny is one of the upcoming boylesque artists from the southwest of England. Johnny has been performing for 3 years and as well as being resident boylesque artist at ‘Cherries on a Cloud’, he travels up and down the country and into Europe spreading smiles and copious amounts of glitter to audiences everywhere.
Ebony Silk
Suzie Sequin
Suzie Sequin has been working as a professional performer since the age of 15. An internationally-acclaimed burlesque performer and singer, she has headlined shows all over the UK and regularly performs oversees for various shows and corporate events.
Suzie Sequin is a true all-round entertainer and will bring a sparkle to any stage or event and delight audiences with her curves made for shaking and a mischievous glint in her eye.
Seeing Doobla
Gender bending drag double act “Seeing Doobla” is a camp as tits duo of cabaret clowns. Where acro meets stupid in a dangerously funny combination of circus and silly. They’re identical twins, can’t you tell?”
Jester Styles
Jester Styles promises a different type of close-up magic, taking inspiration from the places and people around him and infusing street magic and mind-reading. Once you’ve seen him perform you will be left breathless, begging for more and wondering, “How did he do that??” The official match night magician of the Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey Team, Jester Styles is a truly excellent magician but ultimately it is his personality that sets him apart from the pack.
Scarlet Butterfly
Scarlet Butterfly is an award winning, internationally established aerial dance, fire and burlesque performer who has gained a reputation for specialising in a unique form of acrobatic, theatrical, cirque style pole dance which sees her perform in elaborate, faery, fantasy and burlesque inspired costumes. She regularly works with feathers, silks, fan veils and other props, at height, to create visually stunning pole art. Her acts are graceful, enticing, sensual, exciting, always unpredictable and offer high entertainment value. In 2015 Scarlet became a finalist in the World Burlesque Games
A GREAT NIGHT OUT FOR A GREAT CAUSE 🦔
A Midsummer Night’s Scream is proud to support Vale Wildlife Hospital, which provides specialist care for sick, injured and orphaned wildlife.
Vale receives no government funding and relies on donations and fundraising to continue its work, so by joining us for an evening of cabaret, you’re also helping support the wildlife in their care.
Come for the cabaret. Help the wildlife. Everybody wins.
